  • World Cafe

is a great way to collectively share and build knowledge around a topic. We use a modified version of World Cafe with our students as well as in professional learning scenarios to ensure maximum leverage of participants' experiences. Here's how it works:

    1

    Groupings

Assign participants into even groups at stations around the space.

    2

    Add

Participants consider the provocation and add to the collective knowledge base.

    3

    Rotate

After the allotted time, each group will rotate to the next station, leaving one member behind to explain.

    4

    Repeat

As groups continue to rotate, a new person will stay behind.

    5

    Gallery Walk

Once every group has been to every station, participants survey all responses, reflecting on what has been gathered.

    6

    Share out

Make a call to action - Are there any takeaways that participants can apply in their context
